Who we are

Iturrieta is a family farm project. In 1997 we moved from Vitoria-Gasteiz to this beautiful hamlet in Aramaio, and soon began work on the transformation of cattle and sheep stables into cider shops. The opening and inauguration took place on 25 July 1998 (Santiago Day).

At first 600 apples were planted, and today they have grown to approximately 1,400, combining the varieties of apples of Euskal Herria with those of Asturias.

For several years, and until we are not subject to our harvest, we have mainly used apples from the valley of Aramaio and its surroundings.

After 20 years in this world of the apple, today from A.S.S. (Association of Apple and Apple Fans of Álava), together with the Seed Network (Seed Network of Euskal Herria) and Bionekazaritza, we work on various projects for the development, recovery of local varieties and conservation of fruit production in Álava.
